Cosmetic Tattooing is AKA Permanent Makeup (PMU)
Cosmetic tattooing involves implanting pigment into the top layers of the skin using a machine and needle. This procedure is designed to enhance features such as the eyebrows with long-lasting, natural-looking results.
Results typically last 1–3 years, depending on factors like skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. The technique used may vary based on your skin type to ensure optimal healing and the most flattering outcome. (pigment will fade but may never 100% fade for some skin types - like dry skin)

Cosmetic Tattooing typically lasts between 1–3 years depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and how well you maintain your brows.
To maintain the appearance, color refreshers are generally recommended every 2–4 years.

I no longer offer microblading as a service. Microblading is a traditional technique that uses a handheld blade to manually implant pigment into the skin. While it was once popular, newer methods have emerged that are more advanced, less invasive, and offer better long-term results.
I now specialize exclusively in modern machine-based techniques using a tattoo machine and a single needle, which are designed to be gentler on the skin and provide more natural, customizable outcomes.
Nano Hairstrokes:
This technique uses a single-needle machine to mimic the look of natural hair strokes with minimal trauma to the skin. It offers a soft, realistic finish that blends seamlessly with your natural brow hair.Ombre / Powder Brows:
Using a machine and fine needle, this method creates tiny pixelated dots for a soft, powdered effect.Ombre Brows transition from a darker tail to a lighter front.
Powder Brows fade from darker at the bottom to lighter at the top.
Results from these techniques typically last 1–3 years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare.

As your skin naturally regenerates over time, the implanted pigment will gradually fade and lighten. Refreshers—also known as color boosts—are designed to restore faded pigment and maintain the desired shape and color.
Refreshers are typically recommended every 2-4 years, depending on your skin type and how well your brows have retained the pigment.
However, I always advise waiting as long as possible between sessions. Allowing the pigment to gradually fade helps preserve a natural look and supports the long-term health of your skin.
Frequent refreshers (touch ups) are not recommended, as they can lead to pigment oversaturation, which may result in unnatural or overly dense brows over time. Patience between sessions ensures your brows age gracefully and maintain their soft, natural appearance.
Please note: Refresher sessions are exclusively available to existing clients who received their initial PMU session with Sydney.

Pain levels vary depending on individual tolerance, but most clients report minimal discomfort.
Before numbing: Clients typically describe the sensation as a 1–5 out of 10 on the pain scale.
After numbing: Once numbing is applied (after the first pass to ensure better absorption), discomfort usually drops to 1–3 out of 10.
Note: Numbing is not applied beforehand, as pre-numbing can cause the skin to thicken slightly, which may affect pigment retention and overall results. Waiting until the skin is open ensures the numbing works more effectively and helps us achieve the best outcome.

Healing is a critical part of the Cosmetic Tattooing journey, and understanding the process helps ensure the best results.
Initial Recovery: The initial aftercare routine lasts about 1 week, during which you'll need to apply the recommended healing ointment and follow specific instructions. However, it's important to remain mindful of aftercare guidelines—such as avoiding, makeup on the brows, and sun exposure—for 2–3 weeks to support optimal healing and pigment retention. Some clients experience visible healing (light flaking, dryness, oxidization (brows darkening) or fading within the first week.
Full Healing: While your skin may look healed on the surface, true healing takes minimum about 4 weeks as pigment settles and your skin regenerates beneath the surface.
Complimentary Touch-Up: A 4–8 week touch-up is included with your initial session to perfect any areas where pigment may have faded during healing.
Post-Touch-Up Healing: After your complimentary touch-up, expect an additional week of healing as your skin recovers again.
It's important to be patient—Healing takes time, and your final results will gradually reveal themselves. Being patient ensures the best outcome.

If you have existing PMU, you must submit clear photos of your bare brows for approval before booking. Your previous work must be at least 80% faded to be considered.
If approved, you'll be cleared to move forward with the booking process. If not, you may be advised to either wait for further fading or seek laser removal to ensure the best possible results and preserve the integrity of your brows.
Please note: Deposits may be forfeited if an appointment is booked without prior approval. Every case is unique, and pre-assessment is essential—out of respect for your skin and to ensure that your desired outcome is achievable.

LIP BLUSH tattoo FAQ
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
A machine and needle are used to gently deposit pigment into the lips. This technique allows the artist to slowly build a beautifully natural lip color. Color and boldness are customized to the client's preference.
-
Natural Lips or Lip Blush is a technique that produces more of a "nude lip," or "lip tint," result, however, everybody's skin takes the tattoo differently. I always start light and natural. We can build color on the complimentary touchup.

The retention rate of the lip tattoo depends on different factors such as:
The color mix
Lifestyle
Touch Ups
Pre + After Care
On average, Lip Blush fades away within 2-5 years, with most people wanting a touch up every 2-3 years.
-
The first session takes 2-4 hours, and the touch up takes about 1- 2 hours.
-
Day 1 | Some swelling and tenderness after the procedure is normal. Your lips may look like you got lip filler, however, this is normal and typically subsides within the first 24 hours. Color will be most vibrant on day one before fading up to 50%.
Day 2-5 | Your lips will appear darker for the first few days. Lips have the easiest and fastest healing. It only takes about 4-5 days to heal superficially. During this time, you will need to apply ointment as your lips will be chapped.
Within a few weeks, pigment will soften up and resurface.
-
Yes! Note that lip filler and lip blush appointments MUST be at least 4 weeks apart from each other.
-
Yes, only 2mm. The skin on the lips is not the same as on the face and things can look unnatural or get unpredictable when we tattoo too far outside the natural lip line.
